When it comes to the hand of God, there are a few things we need to know. This is an end time message as well because the hand of God is also over the earth right now, releasing His wrath on the ungodly.
But this message also works with the authority of a believer.
Acts 11: 19 - 21
Now those who had been scattered by the persecution that broke out when Stephen was killed traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus and Antioch, spreading the word only among Jews. 20 Some of them, however, men from Cyprus and Cyrene, went to Antioch and began to speak to Greeks also, telling them the good news about the Lord Jesus. 21 The Lord’s hand was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord.
- They preached, and then the hand of the Lord was with them.
- We should recognize that the hand of the Lord is with us as we do His work.
- If you walk with the Lord, His hand is with you, and there will be Power going with you and He will do things that you can’t do.
“The Hand of God” in the Bible refers to:
God’s Power expressed in judgement and recompense.
God’s Power expressed in blessing and in help.
So the hand of the Lord is about blessing or about judgement.
Acts 13: 6 - 11
They traveled through the whole island until they came to Paphos. There they met a Jewish sorcerer and false prophet named Bar-Jesus, 7 who was an attendant of the proconsul, Sergius Paulus. The proconsul, an intelligent man, sent for Barnabas and Saul because he wanted to hear the word of God. 8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for that is what his name means) opposed them and tried to turn the proconsul from the faith. 9 Then Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked straight at Elymas and said, 10 “You are a child of the devil and an enemy of everything that is right! You are full of all kinds of deceit and trickery. Will you never stop perverting the right ways of the Lord? 11 Now the hand of the Lord is against you. You are going to be blind for a time, not even able to see the light of the sun.”
As Apostle Paul recognized Bar-Jesus and the damage he was making against the Body of Christ, we should also recognize those people today.
See how Apostle Paul dealt with the situation, coming from a Holy Spirit filled place.
If you read that scripture further, you will see that the man became blind. This is an example of God’s hand of judgement upon him.
In the last days God wants the Kingdom to operate like this. Don’t just leave things.
Do something about it. God has given us the mouth to speak, to release the hand of God on whatever is in opposition.
Exodus 3: 20 - 21
So I will stretch out my hand and strike the Egyptians with all the wonders that I will perform among them. After that, he will let you go.
21 “And I will make the Egyptians favorably disposed toward this people, so that when you leave you will not go empty-handed.
Again we see that God stretched out His hand. His hand against the Egyptians and for the Israelite’.
God want’s us to release His hand on the world because of what is happening at this moment.
