In this world, it’s always a fight to find and hold on to who God says we are.
It’s a fight to find yourself in the Word of God, and it’s a fight to resist the suggestions of the enemy.
You want your conscience and the Holy Spirit to be in agreement.
It must be like you have fire wall inside of you.
Your conscience will know without a doubt who you are, and then it will be like a firewall. So, when something comes to present something else, it will hit the firewall.
When we talk about self – image it’s the following we must understand:
It’s seeing and knowing that we have a forward in Heaven, that calls you what you are. Now you have to tie yourself to what He says.
When you can let go of what other’s say and focus on what our One True source has to say.
This is something we grow in, by staying in the presence of God. He will give you that peace; that inner – witness and understanding about yourself.
James 1: 22 – 23
But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. 23 For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. 24 You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like.
The Word of God is your mirror; it’s where you find out how you look. It brings a picture of yourself.
John 15: 3
You are cleansed and pruned already, because of the word which I have given you [the teachings I have discussed with you].
Jesus is saying that His Word prunes you. It cuts off branches that’s not from Him.
Over our lifespan we grow branches that’s not from God which His Word cleanses us from and cuts off of us. His Word forms and shapes us. If we submit to His Word, we will become exactly what we are supposed to be.
